Charter

  • The purpose of CNNOG is to improve network engineers' knowledge, and further improve the quality of Internet and other IP-based services available in China;

  • CNNOG fosters the exchange of ideas and information between technical personnel involved with designing or operating parts of the China backbone/enterprise network

  • CNNOG is a non-profit and non-political group. But it may serve as a focus for discussion on technical aspects of political, legal or commercial issues that effect the China Network;

  • CNNOG is aimed at technical personnel working for Service Providers and Enterprise, but it is open to anyone interested in furthering the CNNOG goals;

  • CNNOG is now not a legal entity. There is now no formal organization;

  • The principle channels for information exchange are the mailing list, web sites, BBS and regular meetings 2-3 times a year;

  • CNNOG is a communal effort. Resources such as mailing lists, web sites, meeting organization and so on are very welcome from any persons or companies kind enough to offer them;

  • The working languages are Chinese plus English.
